Civilians and members of the Armed Forces can now apply online for "Express Possession" of firearms.

Through the "MiAnmac" platform, ammunition ownership credentials and consumption cards can be obtained without in-person procedures.
The National Agency for Controlled Materials (ANMaC) officially launched the "Express Ownership " digital process, a new option that will allow users to quickly and completely manage online the ownership of firearms purchased through registered gun shops.
The measure, which is part of the agency's Comprehensive Digital Transformation Plan, was approved through Resolution 45/2025, published this Monday in the Official Gazette. The process will be available exclusively through the "MiAnmac" platform (MiAnmac.minseg.gob.ar), developed to centralize and optimize the digital management of procedures related to weapons and controlled materials.
According to the resolution, the new procedure is intended for both individual users and members of the Armed Forces, Security Forces, police forces, and the Penitentiary Service who acquire weapons with a Unique Material Identification Code (CUIM).
New features of the system include automated background checks for applicants and online validation of their status if they belong to a security force. The process also includes the integration of digital payments and the issuance of electronic credentials for both ownership and the Ammunition Consumption Card (TCCM), which can be viewed through the "MiArgentina" app .
The initiative aims to reduce processing times, improve traceability, and ensure greater transparency in processes. To this end, a fee of 20 ANMaC Units was set for processing the Express Ownership and 10 ANMaC Units for the associated TCCM .
The agency emphasized that the new procedure is part of a broader process of administrative simplification and technological modernization, in line with the objectives defined by National Law on Weapons and Explosives No. 20,429 and its complementary regulations.
The resolution was signed by ANMaC's executive director, Juan Pablo Allan, and is now in effect.
